Ping! is operated by Jason R. Bargert. This playtest is for people aged 13 or older who live in the United States. Contact everysoftdev@proton.me for support, privacy requests, deletion requests, or moderation appeals.

What Ping! uses

• Your username, display name, a salted password hash, sign-in sessions, saved loadout, game results, rankings, Pings, and inventory.
• Hashed recovery codes if you create one, account security events, player reports, blocks, and moderation actions.
• A registration confirmation that you meet the playtest age/location requirements and acknowledged this notice. Your entered age is checked but is not saved with your account; no birth date is requested.
• Connection addresses while processing requests and protecting the service from abuse.

These records operate accounts and multiplayer, preserve game progress, and investigate abuse. Usernames, display names, rankings, and match information can be visible to other players. Choose a username that does not identify you personally.

Optional reporting and local features

Optional first-party engagement reporting starts off for new playtest accounts. You can change it in Pilot hub → Career → Privacy & preferences. When enabled, bounded event samples expire after 30 days and visit-day samples after 37 days. Switching it off removes those samples; earned progress and match history remain.

Ping! uses a sign-in cookie that can last up to 14 days and browser storage for settings, offline assets, and local game features. Highlights are created on your device. Sharing or exporting a highlight happens when you choose it.

Hosting and other services

The game database is hosted on the operator's DigitalOcean server in San Francisco. Porkbun supplies domain registration and DNS. HTTPS certificates are provided through Let's Encrypt. Support messages are handled through the operator's Proton Mail address. Email links open your mail app.

This playtest has no live card purchases, advertising network, or third-party analytics tracker. Pings are game points and cannot be cashed out. The operator does not sell or share player information for targeted advertising.

Retention and deletion

Account and game records are kept while needed to operate the account and preserve game history. The Settings profile-deletion control removes your profile and sign-in access. Historical match, virtual-balance, security, and moderation records are not automatically erased by that control. Contact the operator to request access, correction, further deletion, or an explanation of retained records.

The approved backup plan keeps seven daily and four weekly encrypted copies on the operator's PC, in addition to weekly server backups retained by DigitalOcean. PC downloads require that PC to be online. Backup copies expire as the schedule runs; restoring a backup requires reapplying subsequent deletion requests before reopening accounts.

Requests and younger players

Include your username and the request in your email. Do not send passwords, recovery codes, or payment-card information. The operator may need to verify control of the account before fulfilling a request.

Under-13 accounts are not supported in this playtest. If you believe an under-13 player has created an account, email the operator so access and data handling can be investigated. For a moderation appeal, include the username and the decision you are appealing.

Material changes to this notice will be reflected in a new notice version before they apply.
